In 2016 and 2018 we’ve developed and produced the Israel Society of Sports Medicine conference, with the participation of sports physicians, orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, sports coaches and more. To give the conferences an innovative, contemporary and sporty character, we decided to hold them in sports venues such as The Sammy Offer Stadium in Haifa. The conferences featured key-notes by prominent international speakers, workshops, parallel sessions divided by the different professions and encounters with media figures such as Niv Raskin and Ron Kofman, and with Olympic medalists and famous athletes such as Arik Zeevi, Neta Rivkin and Maor Buzaglo, who told their personal stories on sports injuries, the challenges of rehabilitation and the return to professional activity.

The leading theme for the 2018 conference was ‘Connected’. Over a few months prior to the conference, athletes who suffered from injuries video-documented their process of healing and rehabilitation. The footage was edited to a film that premiered in the conference’s general assembly, followed by a thorough discussion. Alongside the conference, the participants enjoyed a colorful exhibition, artists performances and informal encounters with famous football players and athletes.
