The Israel Pediatric Conference, which we hold annually as a physical gathering, took place this year in a fully virtual version. The three pediatric unions – Israel Pediatric Association, Israel Ambulatory Pediatric Association and Israel Clinical Pediatric Association, assembled for a large joint conference, which was held through the course of two rich and informative evenings.

About 50 speakers from different areas of pediatrics participated in the conference. The broadcast, from a main assembly and three more parallel virtual assemblies, combined short and precise keynotes together with open dialogue and live Q&A.

The accompanying exhibition was also presented in a virtual format, through F2F platform. The 18 sponsor-companies received a special treatment, in a rich exhibition which included 3D virtual pavilions, comprehensive information within the pavilions (including brochures), videos, presentations, interactive activities, live-chats with the presenters and one-on-one meetings with the companies’ representatives.

The physicians’ response was impressive, with hundreds of pediatricians who watched the conference from their homes or hospitals, actively participated, asked questions, met the companies and were updated with relevant knowledge, including a focus on Coronavirus.

The vast attendance and active participance proved that in these days too, the professional audience needs to gather and be updated, and there’s no doubt that the platform provided that. However, we hope to meet again in person soon.
