The first Genesis Prize was awarded in 2014 to Michael Bloomberg, former Mayor of New York. Mr. Bloomberg is an entrepreneur and visionary who changed the global business environment and created a more open and advanced world. He also promoted practical solutions to central global issues in the fields of education, public health, environment and innovation.

The theme of the event was the initial spark. Together with director Ronen Peled Hadad we developed produced a rich and meticulous event, that gave new interpretation to the question: What is that spark of social and technological leadership that turns into a world-illuminating light?

The ceremony, hosted by Jay Leno and actress Ayelet Zurer, featured impressive performances by the musicians of the Philharmonic orchestra, dancers and prominent artists.
