The annual conference of the Israeli Society for Pediatric Medicine in the Community, was held this year at the David InterContinental Hotel, Tel Aviv, on September 4, 2024.

The conference took place during challenging times of war and loss.

Alongside updates on topics such as breastfeeding and breast milk, infectious diseases, and the treatment of obesity in children and adolescents, the conference also addressed the subject of mourning and bereavement: looking at the individual, family, and society – from personal grief to national hope.

This was highlighted in an emotional interview with a medical team member who lost her daughter in the Nova disaster.

The conference was attended by 20 pharmaceutical companies and approximately 25 speakers.
