In November 2015 we developed and produced the first Ruderman Conference on Israel-American Jewish Relations to take place in Israel. The conference, titled “Stepping it up on Israel-American Jewish Relations”, was held at the Peres Center for Peace & Innovation, with the participation of key figures in government, diplomacy, business, media, education and more.
The conference opened with presentations by three fascinating speakers, dealing with the various challenges and opportunities that lie within the triangular relationship between Israel, American countries and the Jewish-American community. Following a nutritious breakfast, the conference’s participants were divided to two tables, for a discussion on the role of senior Israeli leadership in tightening the relations with America. The discussions were held in a Practical Think Tank format and included practical suggestions for modes of action. The discussions were documented and edited as a position paper, that was later distributed to 500 policy makers in Israel.
The second part of the conference was an evening event with the participation of The President of Israel Shimon Peres, US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro and former Senator Joe Liberman, who gave the keynote speech. The event was hosted by news anchor Danny Kushmaro and featured musical performance by Jane Boudreaux.
